Meet Melissa Britton— Our New Pediatric
Nurse Practitioner!
Melissa is a proud local, having grown up in Arlington, where she attended both high school and college before planting her roots in Fort Worth. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Pediatric Primary Care from The University of Texas at Arlington.
With nearly a decade of experience as an Emergency Room nurse in downtown Fort Worth, Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. Her journey as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner began in Palliative Care at Cook Children's, where she supported medically complex patients facing uncertain or life-limiting diagnoses. This experience profoundly shaped her approach to care, fostering a deep empathy and connection with her patients and their families.
Melissa then transitioned to a private primary care practice on the other side of the metroplex, where she embraced integrative medicine, blending traditional and functional medicine approaches.
After working at Natural Choice Pediatrics in McKinney, she's thrilled to return to Fort Worth and join WholeLife, where she continues to focus on WELL care and root cause medicine.
A lifelong learner, Melissa is always expanding her knowledge through books, courses, and conferences. She is also a certified homeopath through CEDH, and she loves incorporating homeopathy into her practice to provide comprehensive care.
Outside of her professional life, Melissa enjoys a loving family life with her high school sweetheart, Mark, and their three children—two in college and one starting kindergarten this fall.
